That is good advice. Lately we've been buying the 25 pound bags at Costco and storing them in 5 gallon food-grade buckets from Walmart. I toss a couple of 2000cc oxygen absorbers into the bucket. So far no critters and the lack of oxygen (supposedly) adds years to the lifespan of the flour, if necessary. Works well for rice, beans, etc, basically all your bulk dry goods. The same technique can be used for 1/2 gallon mason jars and a 100cc oxy absorber:
