I found this to be interesting. The map has climate zones specific to Hawaii, instead of the USDA (pronounced: U. S. Duh) zones. Find the zone you're in and then go to the database to see what others have had success with in that zone.
The database is limited but it appears they are requesting input to expand it. Also, seems 1000' gradient on the map may be a little broad, but it's still more granular than the 3 zones the USDA says we have.
