Remember the depleted ozone layer? Remember banning CFC's over the objection of ozone deniers and industry? It took decades, but evidence is mounting that the ozone layer may be healed by the 2050's. Perhaps climate deniers will sit up and take notice, and recognize that sometimes scientists know what they're talking about. Then again, with mounting evidence that at the moment the White House is no more than an occasionally entertaining circus act, maybe not.
All of this is due in part to the Mauna Loa Observatory. They have been measuring an increase in CO2 for decades (which affects the climate), and they were part of 16 measurement sites that detected the ozone problem:
