Expired temp drivers liscence

Just before the lava broke out hubby renewed his
HI drivers liscence. He was given a temp liscence.
Shortly after we decided to leave the leave the island
for a bit to visit family and breathe some so2 free air. Our
Mail is being forwarded to a mainland address but he has not
received the drivers license and the temp has now
expired. Does anyone know of a phone number or email
Where he can check to see where his liscence is? Perhaps they
will not forward a license?

I would assume that the DMV has a "Do Not Forward" statement on the mail that contains drivers licenses.

My wife's couldn't be delivered to our address.It was at the DMV in Hilo and they were good enough to mail it to Pahoa and she picked it up there.

It's part of your Homeland Security safety net.
Proof of physical address.
Provide both physical address and proof of mailing address if different from physical address.
Official Star imprinted on license.
DMV will mail and deliver only to that address.
Because otherwise terrorists will get a drivers license and board jet airplanes.
