Kinda my point. Big pay increase, but our choices have gotten worse (imo). What about the other districts? Is anyone seeing a better choice this time around that could perhaps be attributed to the pay increase?

There should be an option to vote "none of the above", and use that salary and their share of the county slush fund for something actually useful.
