My last speeding ticket was more than that. I imagine persistent shoplifters and car-breakin artists have zero to worry about.

Text of article:

January 12, 2019 KAHALA (HawaiiNewsNow) - A man arrested in connection with a bank robbery has been charged for theft. Police say 19-year-old Joshua Smith allegedly fled the First Hawaiian Bank in Kahala Friday afternoon with an undisclosed amount of money.

He was arrested on suspicion of second-degree robbery, but the offense was later changed to theft, police said. Smith’s bail has been set at $200. He remained in custody as of Saturday morning.

OMG how f***ing backwards can our system get? 200$?? For robbing a bank in the U.S.A. in 2019?

This deserves to make national news and possibly enlighten the higher-ups of something fishy going on here in the 50th state.
