The latest forecast of Flossie shifts the projected path substantially more west than north from the previous time I checked putting Maui in the center and half the BI in the "cone".
https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/graphics_cp2.sh...t#contents "the updated track forecast was changed little from the previous, which represented a significant westward shift, and lies close to the EMXI and HCCA. Given average forecast error, a Tropical Storm Watch may be required for portions of the Hawaiian Islands later today. " eta: https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/text/refresh/HF...1452.shtml?

Winds projected to be < 40mph now, lots of wind shear weakening Flossie.

Well, I'm glad to hear it's weakening at least.

If it drops 1MPH more...it will be a tropical depression. Was kind of hoping for some wind. It's so hot and sticky here. Also my mango tree needs a good shaking for the fruit to drop. [
