Landscaping Costs.
#1
I'm just curious. I have a guy that mows and weed wacks an area maybe close to an acre. He does a very good job, takes close to 3 hours to do it, and charges $200. Is that expensive, reasonable, or cheap?

I know a dependable guy that weed whacks for about $25 an hour with his own equipment.
Assume the best and ask questions.

It cost me $300 plus gas to get 3 acres of weeds about 7 feet high weed whacked. Took about 3 days. He charged $15/hour. It was about 7 years ago.

thats not $15-$18 per hour...

iow there are dozens that would do it for 1/3rd that...
I do my own tools and for always under $18... ie I do Vocano Garden Arts/Cafe Ono, for $40/3hrs.. same work easy kine powertools...

big $$ ($200/3hrs) = chainsaws, digging stumps, and high weed/sapling mowing... if that... id do it for 1/2 that ie $33/hr...

How often are you having it done? A mowed yard looks much better than just weedwacked.

Push mow or riding? If riding then he's got to haul in the mower and maintain the beast, so maybe a bit high but not too bad.

It cost me $200 for one acre and that is one hour mow and 5 hrs weed wack once a month. I can't afford more than that. In HPP
