Testing of passengers from Japan and the mainland?
#1
Are all remaining international travelers (Japanese) to Hawaii being quarantined for 14 days upon arrival? I understand Hawaiian still has daily nonstop service to Tokyo. What about mainland passengers to our islands...especially from bad infection areas like Seattle, Los Angeles, and San Francisco ? Seems to me if your going to lock down the state...you need to block "all" sources of potential spread which means 14 day quarantine for everyone.

OK..I guess the Lieutenant Governor heard me.... Good deal!

Yes, finally we might begin to see some sort of light. After all, the first step in the process to recovery is stopping all transmission and allowing for the cases among us to run their course.

I suspect Josh is just the tip of a rollout that will eventually be directives from Washington. It seems in order to stem the tide we all have to go to ground.

And thank god we have a moat...

Sorry to doom and gloom here but this is closing the barn door WAY after the corona cows have escaped. And like Bulls in a China shop, our delicate and precarious interior arrangements are going to be wrecked by this. The new cruising corona cows are a petting zoo compared to the stampede building over the last 2+ months.

Careful if you're wearing red or are running around in the streets like Pamplona - Bulls on Parade!

Closing borders makes sense if we are doing something internally to control the virus, like Maui County's lockdown. Still, without tests even they are flying blind. Especially if retail and food service workers are untested vectors.

We've let a lot of dumb, in ineffective people get into positions of power at all levels, and we're paying the price.

"We've let a lot of dumb, ineffective people get into positions of power . . . "

While true, it's way beyond that. Let's call it criminally incompetent.
