Members of the Senate and House of Representatives were prioritized for the first COVID vaccinations. While many members of Congress are elderly or have underlying conditions, not all of them do. Tulsi Gabbard has asked other younger, healthier members to postpone their inoculation. Other younger, healthier members of Congress who earlier in the year claimed COVID-19 was no big deal, or a hoax have gladly grabbed their place in line and hypocritically accepted the vaccination. Many are the same people who have a record of voting down improved health care for average American citizens.
Gotta give Tulsi credit where credit is due.
Hawaii Democratic Rep. Tulsi Gabbard tweeted earlier Monday, "I had planned to get the vaccine but will now stand in solidarity with our seniors by not doing so until THEY can. I urge my colleagues who are under 65 and healthy to join me."
