New USPS Mail Delivery Times
#1
With USPS cutbacks you will not only get to stand in line for an hour at the Keaau Post Office, you’ll have to wait even longer for that parcel to arrive there in the first place:

Americans across the country could start seeing slowdowns in mail delivery across the country as early as Friday, when the US Postal Service implements its new service standards.

The changes, which include longer first-class mail delivery times and cuts to post office hours, are part of embattled Postmaster General Louis DeJoy's 10-year plan for the agency that he unveiled earlier this year.

... mail traveling longer distances (which is almost all mail to Hawaii) will take longer to arrive in some cases, due to the USPS increasing transit time.

We always get the grocery coupon circular about a week late. By then all the specials are expired.

Anyone else experience an increased frequency in the number of packages lost by USPS?

Last week, from our window, we saw the mailman deliver mail to our mailbox. We went out to get the mail and the package we were expecting was not in there. There is no way that it was stolen out of the mailbox because we got the mail immediately after it was delivered.

Shortly after this, USPS tracking stated the package was "Delivered, In/at Mailbox" at the exact time we saw the mailman at the box.

Luckily, the sender refunded our money...
