Just had to share my good news. Submitted plans for my home on 11/15 they were approved yesterday, 12/6. I'm totally amazed and expected it to go down to the wire in whether or not it would be approved before I arrived. Nothing left to hold me back except Pele, weather, and money! Very excited to start building in 6 weeks!

Aloha!
Congratulations!
Did you have to submit your plans in person? Or did you/can you have them done with some kind of authorization by someone on the Island - proxy?

Thats great! I submitted a set last Monday and Patrick called with a question on Wed! Not approved yet, but I think Bldg is moving a lot more quickly than last year!

I had someone I'm working with do it. He did have to mail me a form I had to sign though, but he is able to go pick it up and mail it to me. After a few snags when first trying to submit, I'm still thrilled it got approved so quickly.

They're probably moving at the same speed, but the number of permits is way down, they don't get any extra help when the volume spikes, now it is at a level they're manned for.
