Tangerines = trees?
#1
Carey's home-grown tangerines were so good (I normally don't shop for citrus fruit) that when I ate them all, I sought out more at Makuu Farmer's market.
Well, I had 2 still-greenish fruits left over the morning I had to fly out (and you KNOW how they won't let you fly with fruits), so I just threw them into my backyard.
Will I be lucky enough to have a couple of saplings growing when I return? Are tangerines a crossbreeding project (will they taste as good as the original fruits)?
Thanks

The best bet to get a tree that's true to the parent is grafting. Let your little backyard trees get started and then graft on a small branch from Carey's tree. Most of the nurseries can tell you how to graft.

Carey I would like to try rooting a cutting also if you have extra . The Moringa cuttings worked out so good I am on a roll. Thanks, and yes the fruit was great.
