Retail Pahoa
#21
Being a busy mom, I have always thought the idea of a "fast food healthfood drive thru" would be brilliant. People like their conveniences, and they want things fast. You could offer things that could be made quickly like veggie burgers, a healthy plate lunchoff off an already cooked hotbar, premade salads, etc... With the baby sleeping in the car, I've had to make guilty pitstops to fastfood chains to feed myself, and have wished I had a healthy alternative. I think this would fit in with Pahoa. I would be your most frequent customer. Smile Angela

Hi Hope,
If you decide to sell hawaii products let me know. I would love to show you my photography greeting card line. Wholesale and consignment work for me.
I can also create custom cards and matted photography works too.
Another item that seems odd but my infant loves is these humpty dumpty babies. My kid is on the front page Wink with his Honolulu Baby. www.honolulubabies.com. Ann will sell them to you wholesale.

Oh those humpties are so darling and the nursing apron is nice too. I have bookmarked this site and emailed it to a girlfriend who will soon be a grandmother! Thanks for the site of the really precious humpties!

Thanks mella...I try to cross promote my friends whenever possible. They like paying me for various services I offer them cause I basically "return" their money in referrals if I can. I created her site and update it as needed.
Carolann - we of course think he is cute as well. Ann is a friend of mine not related but she is a very nice person to know.
Went down to Pahoa today and set up a few card accounts and future follow ups.
A few neat gift shops down there but not overrun with tourism today at least.
Hope if there is any way you can sample the market with whatever you decide before dropping big bucks in to overhead you may save yourself some heartache.
On the other hand, what do I know, you gotta try. Just try to be as educated about your chosen marketplace as you can, which is what you are trying to do.
What the hey, I will plug a few other friends just this one time.
I am good friends and a sometime business associate with David Fukumoto at Fuku Bonsai. He's got a great product. Great gift idea. www.fukubonsai.com
My friend Bonnie is a harpist/pianist out of Kealakekua. Not sure what her take is on travelling to East side.
She performed at our wedding in 2000 at the Kona Surf. The ocean and harp together are a perfect blend. www.harpistinhawaii.com
The end.

Oh Tony...I was in heaven listening to your friend's harp. I listened twice to each audio sample. It made me think of Queen Elizabeth and the Renaissance! If she ever has some kind of concert or local public gathering...I would love to hear her.
