Politics and Freedom of Speech in Puna
#1
Aloha my new friends, I'm sorry but I'm going to have to lurk on line from now on. I guess I pissed off some people who I guess don't want me complaining or tellin it like it is, IMO. But I guess freedom of speach in puna is subject to approval.
No worries, my wittle words o'wit I can still email to those of known like minds. The member list is like over 1500? But over half must have only passed this way but once, no entries, no activitity, no profile, noname ....voyer?

I'm sure, I've pissed off some cops, who must read this blog and aren't happy, or county official, with my not being happy, about crime prevention or assistance with reduction in HPP. So the message I'm getting, from Kile Golden, Pres, HPPNW) was that the HPPNW didn't want me speaking for them anymore, cause I ruffled some feathers. ?!lol Well,.. I volunteered, to be a Treasurer when they didn't even have one, or any money. I find their money, it gets a suprise awakening, and slides into redtape for a few months and where it R.I.P.
No problema, my doc says cut back on community involvment anyway, it's too much stress,? so petah wabbit goes exit

No way.

I don't know the issues in HPP that you're talking about, but I was looking forward to getting to know you a lot better, Pete. You seem well connected to the Hawaiian culture and the culture of Puna, and that's what I'm really here for, besides help or advice with building/buying/moving. No sarcasm or cynicism, straight up, I was hoping to learn from you, punapetah. There are others here who I will learn from, I'm sure, but I like your style.

Besides, this is America. If you're doctor tells you you need to take it easy, that's one thing. For some local politician to try to stifle you, well, I'd be gettin' all Patrick Henry on that dude.

Whatever. If your health says you need a break, I wish you well, and look forward to your return. If Mr. Golden boy is the reason you're bailing, please tell him to pound sand.

How do I know?
Aloha! ;-)

Wabbit don't go away, say what you like and leave the names out and guess what, we would probably be able to guess the whose and wheres. Or hey we could start a code!@ LOL! You know kick it up a notch like emeral, with the pidgin, challenging and fun and mind exercises.

Nah, enjoy the sun rise, the sun set, the bloomin beauties of those torches.

Big problema, but sometimes doc knows best, just stay out of the hospital, enjoy the christmas lights, the lava glows, the fishes!! Take good care!

It's really important not to take things personally in this imaginary world. You haven't offended anyone I know of, and if you have called some governmental authorities to task, good on ya. Good government workers now who they work for: You.

Looking forward to seeing that BBQ and that mango ukulele someday.

Stick around, stay cool, be who you are and be part of the solution. Chime in when you feel like it.

Okay, I have to chime in. Punapetah, at first, I thought you were just a bit opinionated, but after reading your posts, I have to tell you in the the nicest way I know how. You really seem like you need a lot of attention. When I read your posts, I get the feeling that you are trying to stir the pot and piss people off. You are doing a good job of it anyway. You have managed to alienate me pretty well, just by your banter. I haven't been posting my opinions on this forum as much lately because I don't want to get flamed the way you have flamed others for their opinions when it differs from your very narrow view of what Hawaii is all about. You may have lived here a longer time than most of us, but that does not make Hawaii any more sacred to you than it is for those of us who were drawn here also.

Paradise means different things to different people. Home means different things to different people. I respect how you feel this island ought to be, but don't you think is time to remember that others have feelings and opinions also? Don't you think you should also respect how we want to live instead of preaching that we are not as pious as you? I have a question. Were you born and raised on this island? If you were, then I hope that you will take a step back and remember that you were raised to live aloha. If you are not originally from here, then you are also a mainlander, and you need to stop thinking you are better than everyone. I hope that you will not be angered by my observation of your participation on this website, but instead that you will look inside yourself and try to play a little nicer with us.

Don't shoot the messenger.
I don't know where ya'll found that I think I'm better than anyone?
It didn't say St. Punapetah.
EXCUSE THE ELLO OUT A ME!
I came offering help to theft victims in way of HPPNW.
Try to give a view from one who lives it, here.
It's not that I'm not playing nice. I'm only passing along what the dozens of people, "punatics" as you call them, who don't own a computer, tv or SUV.
News alert, "Punatic" has been, until recently, a duragatory word. Uslually preceeded with the adjative F***in.
So why get mad at me?
I can't express my opinions, because you don't like them? How selective.
Well I spoke with the Captain of the local PD shop about getting a dective for assistance with all these thefts in HPP from? friends?
Appearntly not.
Rob Orts said it best in an email to me, I wished he'd share it with you, you hit the nail on the head, Bob.

So thanks lotus for bringing this back, and let it reiterate itself, even more so now than when it was first posted.

No good deed goes unpunished.

Petah,

I don't think that content was the predominant factor in your muffling. The shear volume of your posts started to be overbearing.
