I remembered your post and wanted to see if this helps. We are in Nanawale - at the farthest point from about anywhere and have DSL here. I also saw several Oceanic/TimeWarner cable trucks yesterday about mid-way down Nanawale Blvd. Maybe cable internet is on it's way?

We live in Nanawale at the end of Hapuu, as far back as you can get. No Dsl or cable. Using Verizon wireless card, decent connection strength and it comes with 5 Gig and so far we haven't even come close to using all 5. The wife plays online games and we still haven't used it all, if this helps.

I too have Verizon Wireless. I recently had to replace my wireless PCMCIA card (because my laptops PCMCIA port is damaged) with a wirelss USB "dongle". Now I'm unable to establish a connection in certain locations within Fern Forest Vacation Estates. With the old card connection speeds were low and disconnected frequently at these locations but I was always able to connect. With the new USB dongle I have to drive to Volcano or Mt.View just to connect.
