Can anybody recommend someone who does acid wash and/or concrete staining?

We have had excellent results in Puna with Maestro Max; he does a fantastic job with both acid wash (our lanai) and concrete staining (the entire first floor: a complicated multi-color pattern). Max really knows what he is doing and is genuinely artistic as well. Contact him via max@mockrocks.net

It is not our part to master all the tides of the world but to do what is in us for the succor of those years wherein we are set, uprooting the evil in the fields we know, so that those who live after may have clean earth to till. What weather they shall have is not ours to rule.

Also, get in touch with DavidM, forum member, he has a ton (actually much more than that) of experience with acid wash on his place in Ninole...

Thanks Carey. Willing to pass on whatever I can. Ours was DIY and quite pleased with results.

I previously oversaw a project at work in which we used muriatic acid on some large patches of concrete that was too slippery from a mis-applied sealer in the past. It was extremely easy and cheap to do, but heed the directions and warnings regarding mixing the muriatic acid in totality!
Do not think that mixing stronger is OK. It isn't.
If you are simply wanting to remove stains from leaves, mold, etc., try a 50/50 bleach and water mix first. It is safer and will be easier on the concrete.
