I wouldn't care if my neighbor lived in a tent so long as they used a compost toilet and bio degradable soap with their solar shower. I would rather see them live like that than pay the bank 1 million dollars and slave their entire lives at that. No I do not live in Puna but have visted many times and am looking for a building lot now.

People living in tents in Puna generally do not use compost toilets and use soap, of any kind. They cannot afford to. That is part of the problem.
There are hundreds of homes available right now in the Puna District, for $100,000 or less and people aren't buying them because they don't have the money and/or the banks aren't loaning it.

kjlpahoa,
You were unhappy with an old post of mine. I responded and asked you a question:
If its not an Emily thing then whose thing is it?
Do you have a reply? I am not sure what you are objecting to. Please explain.
Assume the best and ask questions.
