Anyone have a good view of Mauna Kea? Looking for a peek at the mountain...is there a good site (other than the observatory, which we can't really get a good idea from) to look?

Looks like no snow when looking at the observatories web cams - just heavy clouds around the peak.

As of 10:30, looks like it's snowing currently on the webcams.

I was listening to the radio this morning when someone from Waimea called in and said it had cleared off there and that there was snow on the mountain.

I can attest that Mauna Kea has a good amount of snow at this moment. We bought our house in March and it was a good month before the mountain was visible and we finally understood that the dining room bay window and living room picture window had a spectacular view of the mountain, not just the neighbor's roof!

If you can get onto the Kamehameha School Campus, the middle school campus has a great view of both Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa summits. Must be clear, though.
