I just saw this dog found in HPP posted on craigslist:

"Found "Joe" in our yard this morning, looks hurt but was able to walk into a crate we had for our dog. collar says his name is Joe and to contact Linda Haberman. I called the number on the tag but it's a wrong number. if anyone knows Linda or Joe please call me (808) 966-7159"

Just an update, Joe is back with his owners and the found skinny German Shepherd in upper Ainaloa 12/20 is also back with her owner, she had been missing since 11/26 [][][]
If you lose your pet, please don't give up, keep checking posts even if it's in a different area!

For those of you who love a happy ending... I was at the Humane Society building the other day dropping off a donation of dog food. There was a guy there picking up his cat -- the cat had been gone for more than three years! From what I could tell, apparently someone had found the cat when it first disappeared and started caring for it. Flash forward three years, the cat gets lost again and ends up at the humane society where they somehow matched up the cat and the original owner (maybe the cat was chipped?). In any event, cat and owner seemed very happy as they left together!
