vacation rental Hilo, Puna

can anyone recommend a place for us to stay while we look for property? We arrive on Nov 8 late evening in Hilo and depart on 12th.? we would prefer a house someplace we can cook dinners. Nothing fancy just home base kind of thing.

Aloha Lee! Keith - Tony and I stayed at Lee & Ana's property in Orchidland and it was more than we could have asked for. Very pretty property and the house is lovely.

Thanks for the help. I contacted a place in Kapoho last night, if it doesn't work I will book with you in Orchard Land est. How it it out in the Orchard Land Est. I want to look around the area and see if it's what we want to buy.

I stayed at some different ones in HPP because it was central for us. I am looking for the names of one I stayed at that we liked and will give you a name when I find it. Heard that Lee's place is fine and they liked it from posters before also. Stayed in one that I definately would *Not* recommend, even though it is ocean front. Kia`i Kai Bed and Breakfast (808) 982-9256 You can email me for the details if you like, but suffice it to say it was bad service and not maintained well to the point where it was dnagerous, some other problems. Kapoha is a magical place, We stayed at the cove last time and just loved it. We booked a place called Lagoon Cottage ariving Nov. 8 really late that night but plan on staying for 4 days this time. I wish we could buy a place in this area but It's a little out of our range. Are we too early to see whales?
