Aloha Friends,
Anyone used Home Depot for Kitchen Cabinets? or HPM?
Still trying to decide on going HD/HPM route or using a local cabinet professional recommended like Custom Cabinets of Hawaii...can anyone give me some insight?

I got my cabinets at Home Depot in Hilo. They were easy to work with and you can't beat the price. However, it was for a spec house, had it been for my own house than I probably would have paid a little extra for a custom cabinet.

If you are just going with HD style, call Iris at Kitchen and Beyond. Her's are usually a little less expensive.
If custom cabinets, I would use Dan Craig.

We shopped around before ordering our cabinets from Home Depot. Paid a bit extra for the real wood variety and it was well worth it. They're holding up really well... three years and not a single problem - so far, so good. ;-)

We used Jay's Custom Cabinets, located in Shipman Business Park.
Great Service and comparable prices.

From my understanding, the new process of making MDF, higher grade glues withstand moisture and damp environments much more then the old way.
Does HD offer warranties on their stock grade cabinets? I would think they would hold up just as well.
