Looking for others in Pahoa/Puna area to play Scrabble on the weekends. All levels welcome.

I love playing Scrabble. I'm not any kind of expert, but I love it.
I don't live in Puna though, live in South Hilo district.
Email me through Punaweb if you want to talk more.
I might be able to do Saturday or Sunday afternoon.

Mary H, if you are on face book, they had a nice game app for that. I used to play with my daughter and my brother and SIL. I will be in Puna semi-permanently in April. I also am starting to learn cribbage, and like board games in general. Later maybe we could get together. Peggy

I love cribbage! Never got a "29" hand but I dealt one many years ago... Game stopped and the cards were framed!

I've never tried cribbage.
Facebook app? Can you explain, Peg?
I don't spend any time on FaceCrack, other than when people drag me over there, but it could be fun to play with distant friends I guess.

I have a Scrabble program, but it only works with the disk in, and I only played with it a few times, then mislaid the disk. I prefer playing with people, on a real board. I have a fairly recent version of the Official Dictionary.

Anyhow, I would be interested, but I don't do morning appointments on weekends [Wink] and I'm not too big on driving from Pahoa after dark, so that leaves afternoons. [Smile]

I've seen two Hilo Scrabble groups. One meets on Tuesday afternoons at the Hilo Library and the other on Friday evenings at the Food Court in Kuhio Plaza.

Facebook app? Can you explain, Peg? Kathy H, I got an invitation from my brother. I could hunt it down if you are interested. It is probably reached from your profile page. It is one of only two or three apps I used. Don't do any more, too much chance of computer trouble, one way or another. And, if you select using only the secure server (https) you will be better off. We quit because people got busy and quit playing. I like scrabble, but right now we are so busy getting things in order it is hard to take time off.
