I'm ruined for mainland oranges...
#1
My wife and I bought a place in HPP last summer or so.We live in Washington State for a while longer.I've stayed at our house a couple of times. We were there the first week of November. We knew we had a few citrus trees, but in November we had loads of ripe oranges on one tree. They don't look too apetizing on the outside.Kind of a mixed up ornage and greenish colors. But, OMG, these are the best oranges I have ever eaten!I can't get myself to buy oranges anymore after eating theseThey are seedless also..We also have a nice tangerine tree. Many of these were ripe also.Seems the way to tell if they are ripe is to just touch them with a light grip.If it falls off in your hand-it"s ripe.We also have a few papayas, pineapples, avocados.

We'll be back to the BI for 8 days in Feb. Can't wait!

We have at least an acre of tangerine trees on our property. Sadly, we can only enjoy them a few weeks when we are on-island.
At least the wild boar are well fed!
