Internet connection

I am just mentally comparing the struggle to get decent fast internet in Puna to S. Korea here in this topic. But, can't help wondering why our whole dang country can't get on the bandwidth wagon. http://www.nytimes.com/2011/02/22/techno...&emc=tha26 Gonna have to make a decision soon about our Eden Roc location and am just stymied by the whole idea of not having clear cut choices, financially and by product capability. I have had DSL for about 10 years from two different telephone companies. I don't want to have to think. It takes too much energy.

If the housing density is high you could demand cable.

To be honest, not having cable (no TV would be a treat for me) is okay. Just thinking how my head spins when I start thinking of dealing with a cell phone company for internet. Satellite internet always seems like the last choice of desperation. Just whining. It has been one of those days.
