Permits and when they can be viewed on
#1
Hawaii county's website. Does anyone know when they are listed? I'm assuming they are listed right when they are issued, but I'd like to make sure. I suppose I could call them, but this is easier.[Big Grin]

They're listed monthly I believe... but we typically just call to get the real scoop on whose desk they're currently on.

Imagine the county office. Now imagine a new requirement to post things on a website. Monthly sounds about right, but I wouldn't be surprised if it happens whenever they get around to it - 30 to 60 days delay, depending.

It depends on where you are looking. If you go to the building department site at http://www.hawaii-county.com/permits/permits.htm this was last updated November 16. If you go to the tax office site at http://www.hawaiipropertytax.com/Main/Home.aspx and check an individual property, these seem to get updated in a timely manner--perhaps when the permit is issued.
