Just curious. Has anyone on Punaweb had a computers stolen with the Lojack software installed? If so what was the experience like? Did the computer get recovered? Was Lojack able to disable your sensitive information like they advertise?

I haven't looked into it that much. You can google it for information. I just got another computer and one of the things on the computer is the Lojack software. I'm not sure if it is a paid subscription or not but before I sign the dotted line, I'd like to know someone that has had a good/bad experience using it.

using the bios password in many computers will lock them if stolen. At least it will protect the data. The later models almost impossible to operate with out the p/w

Hi Royall, we have lojack, you pay in advance for it and it's quite cheap. Not sure if it's transferable.
Luckily we've never had to test their recovery capabilities. I think it's a very good idea, especially if you pay a bit more and ge the $1000 guarantee (you get $1000 if they can't get it back to you).
