The scale of Pu'u O'o became clear to me when I read that the cone in the crater that so much of that exuded lava is coming from is 25 feet tall! The ledge I have been using to visually measure the rise in lava is 5-10 feet tall. All of a sudden that crater looks a lot bigger.
