Growing in Wine bottles
#1

Have any of you done anything like this? Any tips or other ways to use wine bottles... seems like I have lots of wine drinkers as friends! LOL

I enjoyed that link. Thanks.

Clear gallon wine jugs make good terrariums.

If you can cut a bottle in half safely and smooth the cut ends, you end up with a tumbler and a wine glass that only needs a base for the stem (the bottle neck)to fit in. Instead of using the two halves for drinks, you can put votive candles or tea lights in them.
The tumbler, with water in it, can grow sweet potato vines, avocado pits, etc.

If you or your friends make wine or liquors, clean bottles are always needed - just buy new corks at the hardware store.

If you propagate plants from cuttings you can use wine bottles as temporary vases. These especially look nice if different sizes, shapes and colors are arranged in a cluster - some with flowers and some with just foliage.

Hope that helps.

A few parties, a little mortar, and there you have a new partition wall!
