Kirkland Construction is wrapping up construction on the earthwork portion of the 6(6) phase of the Saddle Road improvement project.
The final inspection should happen later this month.
Goodfellow Brothers, the contractor awarded to pave the last Kona side
phase of this project, has received the NTP to mobilize equipment up at the PTA quarry. However, full scale work won't begin until early
January. The 6(7) phase should be wrapped up in 200 calendar days,
which means the road should be opened to the public by September 2013.
