Have a happy
#1
I just want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. It has always been one of my favorite holidays, virtually everyone in the country celebrates and it isn't horribly laden with either commercialism or religion, so it is the one holiday we can all share. Share tomorrow with those you love and take a moment to appreciate the people around you, I know I will.

On a final note, one of my students today told me he was aiming for Polynesian Paralysis tomorrow. I asked him to explain and he said it involves eating until you can't move and then watching sports on TV with his uncles in the carport while his sisters and girl cousins go shopping. Sounds like a plan.

Mmmmm, love Thanksgiving Day too. Our church is doing something new this Thanksgiving. If anyone is alone or hungry, come to Puna Baptist Church for dinner! Starts at 11AM, begins to shut down around 3PM. There should be plenty of food, laughter, football games, maybe an X-box.
We're a big family so come join in the fun and eats.[Smile]

Happy Thanksgiving to all! Mahalo for all the good thoughts, great discussions, and friendships formed here at Punaweb.

Thankful we live here in Hawai'i, and for all our ohana, including all of you.

Enjoy the day!

+1 on opihikao's post. I am thankful for all of you strivers to improve our little corner of the world and reaching out to the world at large as well. We are blessed to be here and aware.

Eat Plenty! And be thankful of not just those around you... but of the good health to make it to see another year to be alive!

Thank you:

1. Punawebbers for all you do and have done. I have met many wonderful people through this site. It is not just a virtual world.
2. Puna Men's Chorus for pulling me off of my peninsula and into the show, especially Merrie Monarch -- an experience of a lifetime.
3. For Hale Lavalava. You are complicated, and very high maintenance but you are beautiful and I seem to know no other way. Every day I wake up and look at you and say "Worth the sacrifice".
4. For my adorable, spotted, tail-wagging girl.
5. For the shooting star that came out of nowhere and was so bright, fast and beautiful that it shocked my heart back into beating again. Mahalo nui loa. I send you aloha wherever and for whomever now you may blaze.
6. For a certain practitioner of drag who has been such an inspiration to me and who brings so much to our community.
7. For the blessing of being raised in a loving family. I didn't realize that everyone was not so blessed. I will hear from all three of my older brothers and one sister today and many nephews and nieces and even great-nephews.
8. For those who checked on me or housed me during the tsunami-ette.
9. For each of the two guys that are teaching me how to be stronger, so I can get back in the canoe when I huli.
10. For this beautiful, challenging, multi-layered, multi-cultural, stunning volcanic island. Aloha no.
