Anyone know the name of the large bushes with pink

I am so glad to read the posts on these plants. We have a lot in Leilani that was covered in the large green shrubs with purple flowers (Glory Bush?). The man who cleared our lot referred to them as "rubbish plants" and said we need to get rid of them all. He cleared out quite a few but we will have to do more when we are there permanently. Glad to know Round-up will take care of them. I am interested in learning about the native plants vs. invasive plants and am thankful for all of the info.
