How to catch feral chickens ?
#11
This is just a suggestion of course but at that range a pellet gun would have made short work, and dinner, of him as well as greatly reducing the complexity of the whole operation.

catch them at night, shine a flashlight at them on their roost so they cant see ya then grab their legs and turn them upside down ... easy if you can reach them

save our indigenous and endemic Hawaiian Plants... learn about them, grow them, and plant them on your property, ....instead of all that invasive non-native garbage I see in most yards... aloha

exactly my thinking. Are they at all good for food? Maybe the roosters aren't, but could you use them for bait to fish with?

I heard in order to catch them you have to sprinkle salt on their tails..............

Whatever you do, don't fry them unless you enjoy chewing.
(nope, I don't live there yet, but I can figure this one out because I have raised chickens and old layers are tough as leather. I imagine wild would be similar.)
