DAGGER UPDATE: Well yesterday Keaau high hosted the big island wrestling championships. Waiakea once again brought home the team trophy (congratulations), that makes 4 championships in a row. Pahoa high gave a great effort yesterday and almost ended this streak, the final team scores were waiakea 163, Pahoa 153, Kam 110, and so on. The Daggers were poised to pull off the shocker, yet watched it slip away during the final matches of the day. Pahoa did have 3 big island champs, Reed, Hoku, and Uriel, while Zach, Rollin, and Noah placed in the top 3 to earn a state trip as well. Pahoa girls finished 7th for team points, and also sent 3 girls to states. In all Pahoa had a very good season and now are sending 9 kids to Oahu in two weeks. In all Pahoa had one of its best wrestling teams Ever and would like to thank its community for their wonderful support. Most of this team will be returning next year as Pahoa only loses a few to graduation.
