I have been a DISH user for a few months now. But I'm starting to get pissed with this company. Or I'm doing something wrong? My DISH on demand seems to change channels on it's own demand!?!? This happens several times a day. It switches channels then when I try to go back it tells me that it's recording and do I wanna go back to "live tv"? It's not a lot that I have to do, but when you have to do it several times a day!?!?! Plus, I'm always, always getting this bubble telling me it's gonna upgrade now etc,etc.. Or I lose the feed because of the rain! It's starting to take it's toll on me! Does anybody else experience these problems too?
Solution, anybody?????

Hi, Beachboy.
Not sure if I have the same issue or not. I have Dish (not on-demand, though). Yes, it does the stupid one tuner can't view live TV. If you have two tuners (I do, so I'm guessing its standard) use tuner #2 to record stuff first. Tuner #1 is used for live TV and its not cleaver enough just to use the available one (like TiVO is....sigh).
That's the only work around I've been able to find. Oh....and I don't watch live TV.
Dish has a lot of improvements to make to its DVR to meet my expectations, but its still better than pre-DVR days.

I'm so frustrated by this whole experience with DISH TV, it's enough to drive me back to drinking and smoking! The most frustrating thing is when I'm watching something and all of the sudden it changes channels...and now it's recording too!?!?!? Like I really want to record the "Girls gone Wild" commercials

.
Also the slightest amount of rain causes it to lose it's digital signal too. The good thing is I have some wonderful neighbors who always offer me solutions to my headaches, and this is no exception. So I will follow their advice once again!
