Seems rather grandiose of them. I wonder what they intend to do with such a building. Personally, I'm beginning to think they are making a little too much profit. The policy for my family of 3 costs $1,400 a month (shared between employer and employee).

I bet that office will employ some folks, and it'll be located in Keaau so hopefully those folks will live around here and not have to commute to Hilo for work. Jobs!

I feel like people complain about the lack of jobs in the area but when a company comes in that will employ folks they complain about that.

The construction workers, the people who will work there, etc etc. Gonna be good for business in the foodland farmer marker and shopping area as those folks will likely eat lunch out and buy their groceries close by.

Yeah, HMSA expansion "good for economy" generally, at the cost of "different congestion".

Skipping ahead to the next part: the new HMSA admin project both leaves the front corner open for additional commercial (retail) development, and virtually guarantees that something will get built there.

I personally want it to be a big new McDonald's -- not because I like them, but in hopes that they will sublease their existing property to a place that offers drive-through laulau plates.
