What cheap inside tip would you give a Punatic?

The Old Puna Trail seems to be equivalent to Beach Road and Old Government Road, at least in some cases.
Here is one reference for the section from Kaloli Road in HPP to Hilo:

Every time I've ever picked up a hitchhiker, they've always thanked me with free fruit or a suggestion on some cool off the beaten path place to check out....

"How do you know i am mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the cat "or you wouldnt have come here."

Well this isn't Puna side, but it's good fun for little kids. The Waikoloa Hilton has the free boat rides and tram through their lagoons, and they stop along the way at their art gallery. It's fun to walk around there too under the waterfall and by the dolphin lagoon. My kids liked the hammocks and the beach and all too -and the Chinese art is amazing. They loved finding their Chinese signs on the big animals statues by the pool.
Also I'm not mentioning names here but locals sometimes sneak in the pool and on the water slides after hours.

Wasn't real cheap, but we ate at the Black Rock Cafe for the first time. The food was good and the restaurant is clean and nice atmosphere. Servers very nice, too. Tony had a steak and I had catfish. Both were good. It's not like Hilo Bay Cafe or anything foodwise, but more like home cooking.

P.S. Had tiramisu for dessert (nicely presented with chocolate and raspberry sauce on the plates) and they had other good ones too - bananas foster, etc.
