Merrie Monarch Week
#1
The Merrie Monarch is upon us again! Enjoy the festivities, drive safely, and have patience (it is a virtue, or so they say [Big Grin]. Traffic sucks more than ever this week. Ugh!).

The hula is such a big part of our culture as it tells a story. Both the kahiko (ancient) and awana (modern) hula nights are fantastic. The chants and songs this year are again meaningful, and are part of the story of Hawai'i.

The Merrie Monarch will be live streamed on the internet by K5TheHomeTeam.com or HawaiiNews.com :
(*Snipped - More at link including schedule of events)

KFVE will broadcast the 51st Annual Merrie Monarch Festival in high definition from Thursday through Saturday, April 24-26, 2014. K5TheHomeTeam.com will also provide live streaming video of the competition each night.
