Anybody know if there are summer classes at the Keaau senior center? I'd like to take the ceramics course, but always discover the spring session started a few weeks before I looked for it.

Lee, the current newsletter has a schedule on the last page, with summer registration starting on June 16, with a phone # for the Keaau registration... perhaps they are still finalizing the schedule...perhaps calling the Keaau number may give more info.. 966-58zero1

Emailing may work better than phone calls. Margaret Yafuso is the coordinator for both the Keeau and Pahoa senior centers, so she's not always in the Keeau office. Whenever I've emailed her, though, she's always gotten back to me quickly.

I checked the Pahoa senior center this week to see if the new schedule was up - it wasn't. Classes are supposed to start on July 7, 2014, for the summer session, so maybe the schedule for the smaller centers haven't been finalized yet.

I attended yoga class at the Keaau Senior Center yesterday (Thursday) morning, and there was a new summer schedule posted on the bulletin board there. Don't know if it's all set in stone, yet, but it was there.
