6.1 (initial report was 6.8- now downgraded) Earthquake off coast of Japan. NO tsunami generated. More information forthcoming.

West Hawaii Today No tsunami was triggered by a magnitude-6.8 earthquake that struck Friday off the coast of Honshu, Japan. The earthquake was recorded at 9:21 a.m. Friday off the east coast of Honshu, Japan, according to the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center in Honolulu. Based on all available data, a destructive Pacific-wide tsunami is not expected and there is no threat of tsunami to Hawaii. -
