If you have assisted in Chain-sawing
#1
Just received this:
Regarding ChainSaw Crews....From the MEETING: All Hands Volunteers WWW.HANDS.ORG and the UNITED WAY is hoping to help coordinate the chainsaw crews in the going forward, for two reasons
1. to help track hours for FEMA, and
2. for safety of the crews and the homeowners. Allhands.org will be at the community centers meetings at 8 am to 8PM - Mountain View Gym Saturday and Sunday; Thursday and Friday in pahoa.
You can go as individuals, or if you have a team of people already in place, only one of you needs to go to the center and check in. This way allhands.org can supply t-shirts and things to make it more recognizable for homeowners that there is a process in place.
It may take some time for allhands to make these coordinations, but going forward will be a good way to pass out assignment. By friday they should have teams and projects ready to match up.
Before Thursday, people going out should keep track of their hours and be ready to fill out the forms when they are available. We will post the forms online later as well.
