Need a little help.
#1
Have a broken brake line in my truck. Can't find the right parts so I need to find someone with a flaring tool that I could borrow for an hour or two... Needs to go down to 3/16" tubing.

Sure you can't buy one of the pre-flared ones with fittings at an auto parts store? Automotive Supply center has Standard and metric size and various lengths. If you need longer, just buy a coupler. The hardest part, in my estimation, is bending it into the right size without crimping it. I bought a brake line bender, which I found to be quite useless and just bent mine by hand VERY CAREFULLY. It was a long one, going back to rear brakes.

I did buy preformed lines but my truck has an odd size that screws into the proportioning valve. I tried to find an adapter that would go from 10mm to 11 mm but haven't had any luck in Pahoa. I'll go into town today to see if I can find an adapter or a flaring tool so I can just put the old fitting on the new line.

Thanks to you both for the replies!
