Bump.
I am posting this on Tripadvisor in response to a tourist query of a good way to help people impacted by the lava. I hope it will inspire some contributions from people who have extra money on hand (enough to plan a vacation here).

Hi Rob,
I'm trying to figure out how the Donate works for Santa's Workshop. Is there a place where they indicated where the funds go? As these would be donors who don't use Punaweb, they will likely be confused when they see the Castleblock Paypal. I need to be able to explain so that they will trust it is going to the Workshop.

Also I was wondering, will these kids all be relocated to Kea'au now, and will that complicate anything about the distribution to the Pahoa kids?

Would love to get some donations flowing here.

All donations coming into Punaweb at this time will be sent to Anna at Pahoa Elementary School. I expect to close the donation period in the next week and send the funds over. All the funds will go to the Santa's Workshop. I was an Eagle Scout too. My only Paypal account is a merchant account in my company name.

They can call Pahoa Elementary and ask for Anna Manalo (808-313-4400).... though I am not sure at this point who is staffing that office under the lava student shuffle.

I am 100% confident that the donations are going to the school.
I probably am not allowed to post a business account by the terms of the other website though, which is unfortunate. I will share the phone number you gave me and tell them to mention Punaweb if they donate.

Also I will make a small donation myself (my funds are very minimal these days, and there won't be a "Christmas" involving gifts at my house this year) for this good cause.

The fundraising is now complete.

We sent a bit over $1,750.00, about three times what we raised last year.

dear rob ,,,,,im sure its a wonderful cause , and id love to help , however my funding is limited , however I am a plumber and would gladly vol. any plumbing that would help the cause . feel free to txt me if I can help .
