This afternoon someone turned onto Kaloli from 17th and didn't even slow down to stop. If I hadn't stomped my brakes, they would've been hit. [:0]

My Dad told me that Corpus Christi, Texas has over 800 traffic accidents a MONTH! Not sure how many we have, but I don't think it even comes close. That stat is of little consolation if you happen to be the unfortunate victim but I found the number to be staggering. I have driven in many places in the world and am always amazed at how people will look you in the eye and pull right out in front of you! The method I have adopted is to drive like I'm on a bike; figure that other drivers can't see me and drive accordingly.
