The law does not have anything to do with this person or what she did. The law was enacted to prevent things like what she did from happening. It's a good law. Maybe if she would have known about the law and understood how it worked this may not have occurred.

Hopefully she didn't hear a rumor and thought it meant she could euthanize her baby. Maybe they should print that law up in various languages and pass it out to visiting passengers with babies so there's no misconceptions as to what it means.
It would be terrible to have some crazy misconception going around globally.

Agree! I can see where it can get misconstrued especially where a language barrier may be involved.
