Highway 130 new lane already flooding...
#21
The most dangerous part of the new construction area to be concerned about is the new bridge, concrete barriers, right before the county water spicket turn off, has no drainage and there are no reflectors to see there lines, when it is pouring down rain. [:0]

I went through this area around 8:15 and the water was about a foot and half deep. I was going 35 mph, luckily and was able to avoid hitting the concrete barriers, when the car hit the BIG Puddle of Water. that will cause your vehicle to fishtail, if your not careful.
This is unacceptable work and an accident waiting to happen.
Be care in this area.

8:15 on which day, which direction and am or pm? Don't think I have ever driven my car into a foot and a half of water at 35-mph. That's stupid driving. ETA: What lane were you in?

Drove 130 this morning, leaving HPP at about 6:15, in deluge level pouring rain. I was very pleased to not have to deal with any ponding on the road. After going through and around monster ponds crossing HPP, I had anticipated problems on the highway, it was wet but not flooded, even at the "new" bridge.

That's why I am giving the warning Tom. In the dark, pouring down rain, one can't see how much water is on the ground.
It was in the evening, heading towards HPP, pouring down rain. Only 1 lane in that area Tom.

"It was in the evening, heading towards HPP, pouring down rain. Only 1 lane in that area Tom."

But two lanes possibly available in the other direction. That's why I asked if it was am or pm and which direction you were driving because you failed to mention that originally. I'm not stupid you know, I ask questions for a reason.

Still don't believe there was 18 inches of water on the road. The backup from that would have been tremendous.
