The activity is still going on, but not enough to worry about for now, apparently. The flow has lessened, however, is still (obviously) active.

Almost as interesting is the fact the southeast flank is (slowly) slipping into the ocean.

That's a great article. Earlier I posted my observations about earthquakes that bracket the same block of rock as seen in the graphics included with that article. Where there is a cluster of eq activity in the pali complex and out to sea just south (and a little East) of Kilauea's caldera, and another much further East that is aligned with the Puu Oo / Kupaianaha area, just mauka of Kalapana / Kapaahu, which together bracket an area of little to no seismicity between them.
With that graphics in mind, and the structures its describing, one can watch in the future how this pattern of activity repeats itself over the years. Is that a prediction? Nope. I am just suggesting that if you keep this all in mind you'll see it play out over and over again
