Starting today and for the next month, five planets will be visible in the early morning sky over Hawaii, from east to west:
Mercury
Venus
Saturn
Mars
Jupiter
The last time this occurred was about 10 years ago.

I think most of us are relieved to see that Uranus isn't visible.

Not so fast.
If you check the third image in the link above, you'll see some mooning around the end of January!

Did anyone else see the line up of planets this morning?
The sky was clear, the moon was bright in the western sky, but Venus, Saturn, Mars & Jupiter were all easily seen. Mercury was probably too low in the sky from my vantage point as Venus was just above the tree tops, but from another location (like the tip of Kaloli Point) it would probably be visible near the eastern horizen as well.
