Counterfeit Bills in Puna

"Hawai#699;i Island police are warning the public about a spike in counterfeit cases in the Hilo and Puna districts.

In May, police investigated 23 counterfeit cases in those districts compared with seven cases in April and two cases in January through March."

Another odd thing that may tie in....
Saw two seperate customers leave Yogurtland without their change last Saturday night. One lady "forgot" about $17 in change.
First thing we thought of was they were using funny money and wanted to get out quick.
