John,

I believe in most markets 100% financing is still available with PMI, just not as common.

Also, whats with this proposed court rule http://www.courts.state.hi.us/attachment...102207.pdf affecting Realtors abilities concerning contracts? Also see http://starbulletin.com/2008/01/21/news/story02.html

It won't just affect Realtors, it will affect everyone from title/escrow companies to even ancillary services like home and termite inspectors in my opinion (would "the catchment could use cleaning" be considered "legal advice" -- well, by a strict definition, probably).

Are there any published statistics as to how many defaulted loans year over year, or by month? That is how it is published here. Defaults have increased 2006 to 2007 over 100 percent and north of there, published by county.

Nobody around here in Hawaii is offering 100% fianacing. I bought my house right about when Prime Lending fiasco started. My credit score was close to 800. Between Jan and june my contract was done over three different times by the lender. Because of my good credit score 100% fianancing was an option, but that was quickly taken off the table!

No Oink, don't think you can get 100% fianancing anywhere in the islands...even with a PMI
